Remember the Nescafe couple?

If like me you are a more than just a few decades old you may remember “the Nescafe couple”. First aired in Britain, this is a series of advertisements for “Nescafe Gold Blend” instant coffee, which involved next door neighbors played by Sharon Maughan and Anthony Head popping round to each other’s houses to borrow some coffee.

Seen in sequence, the ads tell the story of a budding romance between the two neighbors, and many viewers were as caught up by their story as by anything else on TV. I don’t remember all of the ads, but apparently they do kiss in the end
